Language Justice

Kilomba Collective's work is deeply rooted in Language Justice. Amongts many things, we provide simultaneous interpretation and translation (Portuguese <> English) for various types of organizations. We offer both paid and pro bono services for select organizations in Brazil that may not have the means to cover the costs.

 

We understand that language justice plays a crucial role in social justice movements, striving to distribute power, foster inclusivity, and challenge entrenched systems of oppression.

We have worked with groups such as FAU, Columbia University, NYU, Rutgers, Revista Afirmativa, as well as at the recent meeting of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent at the United Nations, and various side events during the United Nations Environment Conference.
